Julian Cabral was born in Alan Argentina and moved to Bariloche with his family at the age of 10 – which is also the age he began fly fishing. He grew up hunting and fishing in the wilderness of northern Patagonia, developing a life-long passion for the outdoors, especially fly fishing. Julian has traveled and fished throughout the region since childhood, and draws upon this knowledge to provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience for his clients.
After earning a degree in Aquaculture with Salmonids Orientation in 2004 and additional training in rafting and scuba diving, Julian began his career as a professional fly fishing guide, first for other outfitters including Fly Fishing Patagonia and Outfitters Patagonia, where he also served as Chief of Operations, and for the Orvis-endorsed Rio Manso Lodge.
In 2010 he founded Massive Trout Fly Fishing. Since then, Julian has successfully guided anglers from all over the world throughout Northern Patagonia in support of massive trout.

Bill Johnson’s work as an Engineer in the construction business for more than 40 years, he traveled all over the US, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, British Virgin Islands and Bahamas working and fishing for all the local fresh and salt water species.
He entered the world of fly fishing by attending the Lee Wulf Fly Fishing School in the Catskill mountains of New York in 1980. After fishing fresh and salt water for many years on the east coast of the US, his job as an Engineer caused him to move to Puerto Rico in 2001 where he became addicted to fly fishing for Tarpon.
Bills latest passion is fly fishing in Patagonia for wild trouts. In 2006, Bill and his wife Jennifer first met Julian Cabral who guided them on the local waters around Bariloche. They stayed in contact for all the years and returned almost every year and fished with Julian and MTFF for several weeks. Bill retired from the construction business and is now representing MTFF in the US planning, organizing and coordinating trips to Patagonia exclusively for MTFF.
In addition to his conventional and fly-fishing experience, Bill is experienced in international travel, logistics, procurement, supply chain, construction, safety, boating, retail fly fishing sales and related technical services.
